Dog walkers welcome Please limit the number of dogs under your care to eight.The South DPA is located to the north of the playground, stretching to the central promenade and between the playground path to the east and the pathway to the west. The North DPA is delineated by the Dolores Street perimeter slope, stretched between the south court service driveway and 19th street center promenade, up the slope 20 feet into the flat of main field. There are two off-leash Dog Play Areas in Mission Dolores Park, illustrated on this map. Dogs are free to roam off-leash in the center of this large grassy park or on-leash near the athletic fields, children’s playground or tennis courts. Mission Dolores Park sits at the heart of one of San Francisco’s most vibrant neighborhoods.īecause of the park’s size and location, it also draws residents from the family-friendly Noe Valley and park users from the Castro, center of the city’s gay-rights movement.
